From the book, Vegan Cookies Take Over Your Cookie Jar by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. These giant cookies have a cake-like texture.  These were made using 1/3 cup of dough (batter) per cookie but 1/4 cup would be perfect! My nieces were over the day I baked these. One had given chocolate up for Lent but she was still able to eat the "white" side. Her sister got the "black" side. Nice how that worked out, eh? For the next batch I plan to try a chocolate buttercream frosting, which would taste richer and less sweet.
