The Places I've Been

“The open road is a place of endless possibilities.” – Unknown

Wanderlust does not rule my soul, but I have quietly enjoyed what traveling I have done. Although I've lived in four different states and traveled to (through) several more, I've only ever been out of the United States briefly two times (Baja California) and have never had a passport. Having two poor-paying careers and many animal companions to care for at home didn't make it possible for me to do much, um, gallivanting (<---a favorite word from my youth!).

However, in 2019, my sister, Margaret, and I embarked on the grandest adventure of our lives, a 5-month RV trip up the center of California, Oregon, and Washington, and back to San Diego via the coastal route. We called it our West Coast States Adventure, and oh, it was the experience of our lifetimes! Originally published on our joint blog, Over the Hill Sisters, I've re-posted the entries here, as that blog is now private.

Although I consider myself a homebody, I also enjoy sightseeing and camping. I'm also passionate about photography and sharing my (nearly 9,000) photographs on Flickr, which I have done since 2006.
Photographs keep memories alive, and for all the places I've been with no or less-than-satisfactory photo evidence, I am grateful for even the slightest recollections of the experience.
This is your invitation to accompany me to some of the beautiful places I've been! ๐Ÿ•
