My husband, daughter, dog, and I spent a week in Nags Head, North Carolina, with my husband's family. Being a total bookworm I spent entirely too much time reading (finished FOUR books while I was there!), but I managed three wonderful strolls on the beach. It was gorgeous, and surprisingly not too crowded in the early morning. It rained several times and I preferred the cloudy skies to the sunny weather that came later in our stay. This was my daughter's and my first time in North Carolina and my third time seeing the Atlantic Ocean. I much prefer the dunes to the overdeveloped shoreline I had previously visited. It was breathtaking!
